Donal Moloney (b. 1984, Cork) lives and works in Liverpool. He studied at The Slade School of Fine Art (MFA) and University of the Arts London (PhD). Through his slow and protracted process of painting, his images are transformed into something jewel-like and precious – becoming a vehicle for his interest in fantastical imagery and ambiguous narratives. Donal has received the John Moores Visitors Choice Award (2016), the Andor Scholarship from the Slade School of Fine Art and was longlisted for the Contemporary British Painting Prize in 2019.
