Steven Claydon (b. 1969, UK) graduated with an MA from Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design (1997). Encompassing sculpture, painting, video and performance, his art is concerned with the disjunction between the essential materiality of objects and their ascribed meanings or connotations. He was nominated for the Hepworth Prize for Sculpture. Recent solo exhibitions include Kimmerich, Berlin (2019), The Hepworth Prize for Sculpture, Wakefield (2016); Sadie Coles HQ, London (2016).
