Yukako Shibata (b. 1972, Japan) has lived and worked in London since 1993. Shibata’s work explores subliminal colours found in natural environments alongside those in the ‘man-made’ world. Her work is imbued with a sense of clarity and purity through the exploration of colour. She received her master’s degree in Painting at the Royal College of Art in 2005. She has exhibited widely in both solo and group exhibitions.
