Sara Berman (b. 1975, UK) lives and works in London, She studied Fashion BA at Central Saint Martins in the 1990’s and worked in fashion before studying for her MFA at Slade UCL graduating in 2016. Working between painting and textiles, Berman’s practice examines ideas around the female body in relation to the spaces it occupies both physically and societally. At the core of the work is a deeply held interest in materiality and the act of making. She has exhibited widely, with recent exhibitions in New York, Hong Kong and London.
